Chelsea defender Trevor Chalobah has revealed the unforgettable advice he received from Daniel Sturridge when he was at the club. Chalobah talked about Daniel Sturridge in a recent interview with The Athletic. According to him, Daniel Sturridge advised him that football comes first ahead of other things such as parties, events etc.

Trevor Chalobah stated that the advice was helpful on his way to breaking into the Chelsea first team this season. The defender had earlier spent time on loan at Ipswich Town and Huddersfield Town in the lower leagues of English football. He had a very good preseason and was rewarded with a starting place in the UEFA Super Cup.

Chalobah impressed Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and his coaching staff during the UEFA Super Cup clash with Spanish La Liga team Villarreal earlier this month. The Blues saw off the Yellow Submarines on penalties after the two teams had played out a 1-1 draw.
Tuchel gave Chalobah his first taste of Premier League football as he was in the starting XI for the Premier League opener at home to London rivals Crystal Palace this season. The centre back celebrated his first Premier League game with a goal as he scored the third goal that wrapped up a 3-0 win over the Eagles from outside the opposition box. Marcos Alonso and Christian Pulisic were the other goalscorers for the Blues.
Chalobah was left out of the firing line for the biggest test of the season yet at the home of Arsenal. The central defender was left on the bench as the Gunners were beaten 2-0 at home by Chelsea thanks to the first half strike from the duo of RomeluLukaku and Reece James. Lukaku was able to score on his first game of his second spell at the London club.
