Daniel Sturridge wants to stick with Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge is one of those players that has displayed to have top class abilities but that injuries have prevented him to become a true game changing player.

The English attacker has suffered injuries in just about every single club that he has performed in which has significantly hampered his chances of being able to consistently play at a high level for a long period of time and be considered as one of the best strikers in the sport.

During the 2016-17 season of the English Premier League, Daniel Sturridge made a total of 20 appearances but only 7 of those arrived from the 1st team while the 13 rest appearances emerged with Sturridge coming off from the sidelines as a substitute player.

In spite of the ongoing injury issues that Daniel Sturridge has suffered and his substitute role in Anfield, the English player has recently stated that his future is secured with Liverpool as his contract extends until 2019 and Sturridge does want to continue performing with the club that he joined back on January of 2013.

“That is for the club to decide, for myself I am enjoying my football. My job is to go on the pitch and put my best foot forward. There is nothing to discuss really. I have two years left on my deal and I am happy here.” Sturridge said.

Even though Sturridge has no intentions of leaving Anfield anytime soon, there is still a chance of seeing the English footballer making joining another club during the summer transfer window as Liverpool can just decide to release Sturridge if they wanted to but the player himself does not want to make his way out of Anfield despite his 2nd part role in the English Premier League club.
